Relaxing things to do while reading a book

 

Reading a book can be a great way to relax and enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Getting to enjoy the peace and relaxation of reading, whether in a nice quiet location to finding something that soothes you while reading.  But sometimes the act of reading itself can be a little monotonous.  To make your reading experience even more enjoyable, here are some relaxing things you can do while reading a book:

 

Laying in the sun:

If you love being outdoors laying under the sun won't hurt; under pleasant weather that is! Maybe on the beach or in the park or even at your local coffee shop patio. Plus this is also a great way to get your natural Vitamin D.

Build a fort:

This would give you a sense of warmth and help you concentrate and get lost in the book. You may even lose track of time.

Have a cup of tea: 

A cup of tea can be a great way to relax while reading. Not only can it provide a soothing warmth, but it can also help you unwind and get in the right mood for a great reading session, sipping and reading sounds so relaxing!

Relaxing in the tub:

Taking a warm bath can be a great way to relax and enjoy some time away from the stresses of everyday life. A warm bath can be very beneficial to both your physical and mental health and can help you relax and get into the right mood for a great reading session.

 

Meditation music:

Turn on some soothing relaxing sounds, I found this to be very peaceful; youtube have the best relaxing music, my favorite is the birds chirping. Music can be a great way to set the tone for a great reading session.

 

Go to the library:

If you enjoy your local library stop and read there sometimes, Libraries are quiet and they usually have a dedicated quiet spot for readers.

 

Take a walk:

Taking a break from reading and going for a walk can be a great way to clear your mind and take a break. Fresh air, a change of scenery, and a little bit of exercise can be highly beneficial to your reading experience.
